I love photographing maternity sessions. Its the start of a whole new adventure. You might remember Becky and Justin from their elopement that was featured on The Knot at the end of 2014. Well, they contacted me with exciting news and I got to capture them while they are expecting their first baby! This is one of my favorite things about being a photographer. Watching families grow. I love being able to capture a wedding, and then see the couple again when they are expecting. And photographing the newborn. And continuing to be their family photographer. It is so fun to see them each year and watch their families grow. Becky and Justin are not going to find out the sex of the baby and will be surprised when he or she gets here in a few weeks! I love this! I have known very few people who wait (I couldn’t wait that’s for sure) and it’s so sweet to have that moment in the hospital, when the doctor holds up the baby and says “It’s a …”. I am so excited for Becky and Justin to have this moment. For their maternity portraits, we went out to Justin’s parents farm outside of the Dallas metroplex area and luckily we had gorgeous weather. It is so nice to have this kind of space not too far outside of the city. We walked around and met all the animals – they had goats and dogs and chickens and everything you would expect. We even got some baby bump pictures with the alpacas! Aren’t they so cute? Alpacas have the sweetest little faces! I hope that around this time next year we will be planning a one year shoot with them! Can’t wait!
