I believe in having mentors.  I also believe whole-heartedly in constant learning.  I was so excited to spend a day with McGowan Images for a mentor day!  It is so important to push yourself.  Never stop learning, never stop striving, never stop pushing to do your best.  That’s probably my years of gymnastics training in me, but I truly believe that you can always improve and learn.  Each year, I try to do some sort of training – be it online or at a conference.  However this year I was able to do something I have been wanting to do for quite a while and do a one-on-one mentorship with McGowan Images.  I have admired their work for years and was so excited when they agreed to take me on!  Chelsea is much, much, MUCH better with words than I am, so you can read more about our day here on her blog.

Chelsea and Mack, thank you so much for the wonderful mentor day!  For the encouragement and advice, for the yummy food, and for the friendship.  It has been a blessing to know yall and I just can’t even put words into how much I enjoyed it!  Ashlie and Grant, thank you for your patience with me as I adjusted and listened and changed settings and moved slowly!   What a great day!
